The Research Director role is rooted in the development of client relationships and effective team management. The role is more than just “running accounts” – it’s about managing client relationships and leading those relationships forward. Using a strategic lens - the focus is on directing and developing across a number of key clients.


“Growing” the team for which the RD has management responsibility is a critical part of achieving this. They will have direct management responsibility for a team of capable, ambitious executives who want to be stretched and developed so that they can themselves increasingly run clients and projects.  Overall, the role is fundamentally about adding to the business - about building not just managing revenue.



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10-12 years research experience (specifically with brand and marketing communication research) including tracking (continuous and wave), copy-testing, concept-testing, segmentation and/or different types of brands and market sectors; B2B category experience strongly preferred
  • Ability in leading, managing, motivating and developing a team
  • Ability to manage billings and profits and keep costs within budget
  • Strategically manage large budgets
  • Strong communications and time management skills
  • Solid organization skills and ability to multitask
