    We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our business. You will successfully run a range of client accounts, setting up projects and managing them to schedule and cost with clients and suppliers. You work in close partnership with account teams and clients, driving best practice, strong processes and efficiency, including managing outsourcing relationships with suppliers. You work directly with clients, working across clients and teams as required to deliver improvements.

    You work collaboratively with clients, account teams and external suppliers to continually improve process, tools and resource management. You are skilled at refining, driving and implementing efficient processes, systems and ways of running project and accounts. 

    You operate in a matrix environment and in addition to reporting to a Project Director (PD) you would also have a dotted line into the account team you are imbedded within.

    Core responsibilities

    Capable of managing complex projects with multiple components from proposal stage to completion whilst also picking up other work (in or outside of RD team). Has excellent time management and planning skills for own work and that of others. Proactively highlights potential issues or risk as needed to the PD.

    Plays a key role in running client projects, specifically collating costs from vendors, setting up the ONE system and timing plan accurately, booking client and supplier meetings for the team. Briefs suppliers to ensure research delivers its objectives, monitors fieldwork progress. Proactively manages issues and contributes to SOP and tool improvements.


    Understands division and company goals and how their projects and functions fit into those goals.

    Leads negotiation and supplier management at a project level. Develops and manages positive supplier relationships to effectively manage cost, delivery timings and risk. Provides suppliers with performance feedback and makes recommendations for improvements. Good understanding of SLA’s and SOW content and implementation.


    Tracks GP and EBIT margins for projects. This includes managing outgoing costs as well as internal time management. Tracks costs and invoices, creates paperwork for sign-off and informs manager of any additional costs.


    Keeps client and company paperwork up to date for all accounts and projects managed by them and the team and ensured SOP is adhered to.


    Work with Project Director to ensure processes put in place for GDPR are adhered to internally as well as externally.


    Incorporates new ways of working, technologies and methodologies across client accounts including the Hub, Adapt, Social Reading and Annalect, Tempo, Rapid, Living Lens.


    Takes an active role in new business work and meetings. Contributing to specific elements such as appropriate methodology and suppliers, data collection. Manages client ready outputs in our templates with input of the PD. Creates high quality procurement and Proposal outputs in consultation with the PD.


    Takes responsibility for accuracy in data and information provided to internal and external stakeholders including finance, procurement and account teams. Implements processes for getting data to the hub and to client.


    Acts as a local efficiency champion, helping the PD to drive change. Includes delivering offshoring solutions as well as auditing, measuring and evaluating processes and practices to improve quality and speed.


    Shows a passion for the digital media landscape and integrates digital solutions proposed to clients. Oversees analysis of social listening and other digital data sources; understands use and role of cultural tools including semiotics and cultural reads.


    Stays up to date and can talk knowledgably about developments in our industry and beyond, identifying and sharing innovative ways of doing things as well as the latest developments with local and international regulations and codes of conduct.


    Communicates regularly with the business about efficiency and quality improvements, championing the PM function.
